Abstract
The cover of issue 25 of Children's Readings features a work by the famous illustrator Edmund Dulac (1882-1953) depicting an episode from the fairy tale "Ivan and the Chestnut Horse". Although there are no articles exploring the fairy tale itself in this issue, we felt that Dulac's illustration was well suited to be an example of cultural transfer in children's literature, which is the subject of this issue.
