Abstract

This article focuses on the creative morphology of the ballad by S. Marshak, “The Ice Island.” A comparison with this author's works reveals elements of a mature adult worldview and his stylistic affinity with Symbolism and late Romanticism.   Keywords: Marshak, Tolstoy, ballad, image, impression, style, poetic meter
