Introduction

Abstract

In offering our readers the tenth issue of Children's Readings, we would obviously like to sum up some results. When we started this magazine, the enterprise seemed to us very tempting (and continues to be so), but not very reliable — so at first we called it an almanac to give ourselves the opportunity to retreat. However, number after number — and now 10 issues have already appeared. One can stop and look back: what plans did we make and what did we manage to implement? We wanted to unite the community of children's literature researchers. First of all, they hoped to attract philologists to give them the opportunity to talk about children's literature in the language of literary criticism, and not pedagogical criticism. We also wanted to provide a platform for speech and discussion for specialists from other disciplines, one way or another, referring to children's literature. We succeeded in this. The site is not empty. We have permanent authors and new ones arrive.
