Abstract

The article deals with the critical articles of 1927-1934. Mikhail Abramovich Gershenzon, dedicated to children's literature. In the stream of pedagogical criticism of the 1920s – 1930s the works of M. A. Gershenzon demonstrate disciplinary different approaches: a literary analysis of poetics and attention to the problems of the sociology of reading. The terminological apparatus and analytical tools of the critic testify to rare attempts to use at the turn of the 1920s – 1930s formalist methods of analysis for children's literature.
