Methods of teaching literature in the Soviet school of the 1930s
Abstract
The 1930es is the key epoch of Soviet school system formation. Literature studies became the main ideological discipline at school, that is why the methods of literature teaching were at the same time both pedagogical and political problem. The questions on education went by the wayside. Upbringing and training the new Soviet citizen was considered to be the most important goal of the Soviet school. The ways of “Homo Soveticus” creation, masking under the methodology of literature teaching, are discussed in the article.
